This is a continuation of a Fall course. Students are welcome to enter mid-stream, but it is expected they will review the material from the first part of the course before we begin. Please contact the instructor (magistermeletus@gmail.com) for more information.
In this course we'll start the journey towards basic conversational Italian using L'Italiano Secondo il Metodo Natura (the same method as Hans Oerberg's Lingua Latina per se Illustrata) with a special emphasis on leveraging your knowledge of Latin (and other related languages!) to accelerate your start on the journey towards conversational Italian fluency.
Topics will include salutations/introductions, getting around during travel, an accelerated introduction to Italian grammar with the help of Latin, and cultural vignettes focused on the city of Rome.
If there is sufficient interest, this course will continue to run in future semesters so we can make progress through all of L'Italiano Secondo il Metodo Natura.
This semester we will resume starting with Capitolo 6 & 7.
