LLPSI: Intensive Supplementary Reading (Intermediate)
Instructor:
Victor Kaplun
Description:
In this course, we will be acting out the wonderful dialogues in LLPSI: Colloquia Persōnārum as well as reading Fābellae Latīnae for chapters I–XXXV, which are supplementary textbooks to LLPSI: Familia Rōmāna.
The course is designed for those looking for additional extensive reading alongside the main book of LLPSI: Part I. It is good to accompany our "Intensive Latin through Extensive Reading" course, but it is also excellent for those interested in lower-intermediate reading and discussion material. The course will be taught through guided reading and discussion, with copious rephrasing and a minimum of translation. You will be using the language to learn the language from the beginning. Grammar will also be explained primarily in Latin.
Sessions will take place via Zoom and are capped at 6 participants to ensure a personalized learning environment.
Schedule:
16 1.5-hour sessions over 8 weeks
Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun, 11:45 AM - 1:15 PM EST*
June 29, 2025 - July 18, 2025
*The course will observe US time, including major US federal holidays. If participants miss a session because they are observing a religious holiday, they can arrange a separate session with the instructor.
Cost:
USD 600 ($25/ hour)
What you’ll need:
LLPSI: Colloquia Personarum and Fabellae Latinae by H.H. Orberg (latter provided)
Zoom
Decent internet
Earphones
Microphone

A quiet space for classes
All classes will be recorded in case participants must miss a segment, and folks can sign up for the classes if they can’t make the time and still receive all recordings and materials.
