Course Details
Description
LLPSI: Sermones Romani and Fabulae Syrae.
The course is aimed at those who have already completed LLPSI: Familia Romana and so are able to read intermediate-level texts, but would now like to review and solidify their knowledge with the guidance of an experienced instructor in order to help them bridge the infamous intermediate gap.
It is also an excellent way to progress from passive knowledge to active use of Latin, since the course will be taught through guided reading and discussion, with a lot of Latin-Latin rephrasing and a minimum of translation. Grammar will also be taught and discussed in Latin, and the learners' vocabulary will be expanded through the use of synonyms, antonyms, proverbs, and collocations.
